Paul was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of NSW in 1989 and has been practising law in the Orange and greater Central West region for over 30 years.
Prior to his admission, Paul gained a wide range of legal and workplace experience after finishing his schooling: he was employed as a Petty Sessions Officer with the NSW Department of Attorney-General and of Justice, an Articled Law Clerk, a Union Organiser, a Review Officer with the NSW Workers Compensation Commission, a construction worker, and as a general rouseabout in wool stores and shearing sheds around Goulburn.
Paul has an extensive Workers Compensation practice, covering all areas through Orange, Bathurst, Dubbo, Cobar and surrounding regions. He is retained by several trade unions to service their membership, including the Australian Workers Union, the Shop Distribution Association and the Australian Specialists and Medical Officers Association. He has also appeared at Coronial Inquests in respect of industrial accidents.
Paul has successfully represented many clients in respect of dust diseases in the Dust Diseases Tribunal. These cases include grain dust, silicosis, asbestosis and mesothelioma.
Paul is an Approved Legal Service Provider to the Workers Compensation Independent Review Office and is a nationally accredited Mediator (NMAS) with the NSW Law Society.
Apart from the above, Paul also has extensive experience in NSW Legal Aid, NSW Local Court and Family Law legal work. He is on the following panels:
